Summary
Join the Snowflake team as a Platform Specialist to curate and maintain critical demos for Snowflake SE and Product organizations, collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of innovative technical assets.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology consulting and/or sales engineering, designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions
- Deep Snowflake expertise, with experience in Snowflake implementations, best practices, and complex topics and design patterns
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams, communicating effectively between business and technical stakeholders
- Direct experience working in the SaaS space. Proficiency in Data Warehousing, Cloud, Analytics, and Business Intelligence is required
- Organized and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively, and on time in a metrics-based organization
- Excellent technical writing, editing, and oral communication skills
- Expertise in SQL, including complex query writing, optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience in data engineering, developing robust data pipelines, and ensuring seamless data transformations
- Knowledge of data lake architectures
- Hands-on scripting experience with Python
- Outstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
Responsibilities
- Design and build demos using the Snowflake platform
- Collaborate closely with the Product team to align demo creation with product releases, ensuring timely delivery of functional demos that showcase new features
- Provide technical expertise on all aspects of Snowflake in relation to the platform suite of features to sales engineering teams
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Snowflake and emerging technologies
- Provide thought leadership through external content such as webinars, event presentations, and blog posts
- Create and maintain related technical enablement assets - demo setup scripts, execution scripts, setup and integration guides, technical videos, readme files, and documentation
- Demonstrate advanced SQL skills, including complex query optimization, performance tuning, and advanced SQL functions
- Develop and implement data engineering solutions, ensuring data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and maintainable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GenerativeAI, LLMs and Vector Databases
- Experience with Databricks/Apache Spark
- Vertical expertise in a core vertical such as FSI, Retail, Manufacturing, etc
