Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering field
  • Master’s degree in a technical or process oriented field OR MBA coupled with QMS implementation and maintenance experience OR Professional Engineer (PE) with software engineering experience
  • Experience (5 years required, 10 years preferred): Leading cross-divisional working groups at a medium or larger organization Delivering products in a regulated field (pharmaceutical, healthcare, energy, nuclear, transportation) Delivering software in accordance with QMS requirements Creating and maintaining externally auditable artifacts; comfortable with external audits Presenting to executive leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead Inductive Automation through the industry standard Process Improvement Maturity Levels
  • Lead designated certification efforts including but not limited to: planning, implementing, obtaining and maintaining as needed
  • Work with division representatives and process owners to improve, streamline and document processes
  • Create and deliver internal training on quality, process and risk management
  • Create, maintain and update key internal process documentation
  • Create, maintain and update enterprise risk management program and process improvement documentation
  • Identify, document and maintain a listing and flowchart for the full lifecycle of processes and sub-processes
  • Identify and build relationships with interested parties to monitor and improve workflows and product delivery
  • Conduct internal audits and performance evaluations to verify processes and controls are producing the desired deliverables
  • Facilitate blameless inquiries and root cause analysis for non-conformities
  • Generate recommended corrective actions to address shortfalls identified during reviews and audits
  • Create and present QMS findings and recommendations to the entire staff including C-Suite leadership
  • Respond to customers on questionnaires regarding matters of quality; facilitate corrective actions and recommendations across the organization
  • Assist staff in creating the tools, techniques and procedures needed to ensure formal quality is a conscious effort throughout the software development lifecycle and organization within the scope of the QMS
  • Identify and remove unneeded bureaucracy, simplify unproductive processes and facilitate standardization as needed
  • Execute, track and follow-up on tasks from both customers and third party vendors

The Process Quality Manager (PQM) is responsible for facilitating continuous process improvement within the organization. They conduct analyses of company wide policies, processes, training and documentation in addition to creating recommendations based on internationally recognized standards. The PQM acts as the lead for quality related efforts such as a Quality Management System as defined by ISO 9001 and supports quality requirements related to other relevant standards (e.g. ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.). This is a fulltime position with remote, hybrid and on-site opportunities available.

  • Understanding of Software Development methodologies, especially Agile is valued

$150,000 - $150,000 a year

Pay

Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires target salary for this role is $150k.

Inductive Automation’s ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
