Quality Inspector - Mechanical - Level 2

Join a global inspection team at a leading aerospace company! This exciting role involves conducting precision mechanical inspections at various supplier locations, primarily in Brownsville, TX. As a Level 2 Inspector, you will leverage your CMM experience and industry expertise to ensure the quality of components and assemblies. The position requires US citizenship and a background check. You will work independently, establishing criteria with limited guidance, and possess strong visual acuity and defect detection skills. Requirements

• Have industry experience (4 or more years)

Responsibilities

• Conduct precision mechanical inspection at various client suppliers primarily in the Brownsville, TX area
• Independently establish criteria with limited guidance
• Possess experience within a technical discipline or extensive technical training
• Detect defects on highly complex products
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity specific standards
• Classify defect types
• Verify rework conducted during the time of the inspection
• Read and interpret standard manufacturing drawings based on industry and commodity standards
• Validate dimensions (total tolerances >/=.005” with Minimal GD&T validation) utilizing standard hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages)

Benefits

• $29 - $30.50 an hour Hourly rate while on site or working remotely (i.e. completing or modifying reports)
• Minimum 4 hours per day if deployed (i.e. "4 hour minimum")
• 50% hourly rate for any travel time (i.e. "p2p")
• Mileage reimbursement at US gov't rate ($ 0.655 per mile driven). Untaxed
