Summary

Included Health is seeking a highly motivated physician with at least 3 years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting. The physician will provide care to patients of all ages, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the provider and support teams. Shift obligations include weekday evening shifts and every other weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine residency or equivalent program
• 3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting
• Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification (in Family Medicine or IM/Peds highly preferred)
• Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination
• Active medical license in the state of primary residence
• Active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state (TX and compact license preferred)
• Experience/Comfortable with providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populations
• Must maintain Medicare active status

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plan and document findings appropriately and timely
• Deliver high quality patient care while maintaining safety
• Document medical information of patients and review patient history at each visit
• Request consultation or referral with other health care providers when appropriate
• Counsel and educate patients
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
• Evaluate, triage and manage pediatric and adult patients for both acute, chronic and mental health conditions
• Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends
• Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results

Preferred Qualifications

• Compact and/or multistate licensure preferred
• Telemedicine or virtual care experience preferred
• Experience with Athena EMR preferred
• Experience/interest in supervising Nurse practitioners
