Remote Senior Data Platform Engineer

Summary

This role requires a blend of skills across Solutions Engineering, Data Engineering, and Platform Engineering, with a focus on designing scalable, resilient, and forward-looking solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related fields
• Expertise in AWS: Proven experience working with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue, etc.)
• Event-Driven Architecture: Hands-on experience with event-driven systems and Kafka
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills: A track record of building and optimizing large-scale data platforms and integrations
• Leadership and Mentorship: Experience mentoring and guiding engineers, with a collaborative and humble approach

Responsibilities

• Map unique data schemas and flows to our current and future platform capabilities, keeping long-term scalability and sustainability in mind
• Design and build systems to handle diverse data schemas, ensuring the isolation of uniqueness and the consistency of downstream data
• Build robust solutions to handle complexity and prevent errors in data integration points
• Mentor teammates, lead by example, and contribute to the broader organization
• Work in AWS, leveraging technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue, and step-functions
• Collaborate closely with teams focused on infrastructure and developer experience
• Own your work end-to-end, ensuring the reliability, correctness, and performance of the code you write
