Remote Senior Engineer - Hydrogeology

Summary

Join Dudek, a leading environmental, planning, and engineering firm, as a Senior Engineer in our Hydrogeology Division. This role provides planning and design support for surface water, groundwater, and water treatment systems, with a focus on technical assistance programs for underrepresented communities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in water infrastructure and treatment, is a professional engineer licensed in California, and possesses excellent writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
• 5 plus years engineering experience in planning and design of groundwater extraction and water treatment related projects
• Professional Civil and/or Mechanical Engineer licensed in the State of California
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

Responsibilities

• Execution of projects under the supervision of a Project Manager for planning and analysis of groundwater wells, well head and small community treatment systems, and storage and distribution infrastructure
• Execution of projects under the supervision of a Project Manager for design of water, and/or conveyance and treatment processes and facilities, pump stations, storage facilities, and treatment systems
• Capability to work in the field, including site visits and documentation, water-related field measurements, and monitoring equipment setup, as necessary
• Capability to travel within California, including meeting with clients, site walks, attending conferences and professional organization events, and perform project-related field work, as necessary
• Training and delegating tasks to hydrogeologists and engineers in order to balance workload and efficiently get project tasks completed
