Senior Platform App Engineer

Summary

Join Zigzag as a Senior Platform App Engineer to develop and maintain technology platforms for Peatix's website and mobile applications.

Requirements

• Have basic knowledge or be willing to learn Perl
• Have experience in Ruby and Java
• Have experience in API integration, especially for payments processing platform
• Have experience designing architecture for and building interactive web applications
• Have worked with Stripe or other payment processing platforms
• Know how to write code with an eye on maintenance, scalability, and stability
• Like to work as part of a team, with a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain foundational features like internal APIs, payments, authentication, and authorization
• Improve engineering standards and processes
• Lead and guide technical decisions with the team
• Contribute technical knowledge to conversations about the direction of Peatix's web apps

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience working with Git and GitHub
• Be familiar with running and using Docker
• Have experience working with AWS
• Be able to communicate in conversational level Japanese or above
