Remote Senior Rust Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience writing production-grade Rust applications
• Strong background in systems architecture and design patterns for scalable, resilient applications
• Deep knowledge of distributed system architectures , including microservices, data consistency models, and messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, MQTT)
• Strong understanding of low-level networking protocols, threading, asynchronous programming , and Rust concurrency models

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain distributed systems that are scalable, reliable, and efficient
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to understand system requirements and deliver innovative solutions
• Optimize system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance system scalability and reliability
• Conduct performance testing and implement strategies to improve system performance
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of distributed systems
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems and processes
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ML frameworks and techniques (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, training, data/model parallelism)
• Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment and scaling
• Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems
