Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Technical Vision and Leadership: Ability to define technical roadmaps and strategies that impact multiple teams and drive business results
• Experience Contributing to Platform and Infrastructure Programs
• Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to collaborate and influence both technical and non-technical teams, with a focus on asynchronous communication such as technical specs, RFCs, and project plans
• Hands-On Experience in Key Technologies: Deep expertise in Python, Kotlin, or React, with a focus on testing best practices. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead Multi-Year Strategy: Define and execute the technical strategy for Test Platform Engineering
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead complex, cross-team initiatives, making critical technical decisions while fostering collaboration across engineering, product, and design teams
• Influence Roadmaps: Work closely with stakeholders to align roadmaps across multiple domains, ensuring that test infrastructure supports product scalability and reliability
• Mentorship and Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineers to elevate technical standards and quality, particularly in designing robust testing frameworks
• Build World-Class Systems: Architect scalable test systems that enable rapid growth, ensuring Affirm’s infrastructure can scale 10x while maintaining the highest standards of quality and automation
