Remote Senior Web Engineer

Join Kindred, a members-only home swapping network, as a highly experienced Web Engineer to shape the product and define the technical roadmap from the ground up.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of experience building web applications using React (or equivalent frameworks)
• Have experience in architecting scalable frontend solutions and integrating with backend APIs
• Are proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend tools (e.g., Webpack, Tailwind)
• Are skilled in performance optimization to ensure smooth and responsive web experiences
• Have experience building scalable and reusable UI components, including design systems
• Have strong attention to detail in UI design and a deep understanding of consumer-facing UX
• Have demonstrated success operating as a tech lead on critical projects at previous roles
• Have prior experience at a high-growth stage company

Responsibilities

• Serve as technology lead and own key decisions including the tech stack and strategy for all aspects of mobile development
• Work directly with the co-founders, CTO, product designers, and engineers to build our platform
• Help establish and grow our engineering organization and mentor the next generation of technology leaders
