Requirements

  • 2+ years of ServiceNow administration experience
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator)
  • Proficiency in multiple ServiceNow modules, such as Incident, Customer Service, Change, and Knowledge Management
  • Proven ability to troubleshooting problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Moderate experience with ServiceNow configuration
  • Some experience with SOAP/REST APIs – both developing and consuming them
  • Some experience with the JavaScript programming language
  • Moderate knowledge of the ITIL lifecycle, and how this applies to the ServiceNow platform
  • Independent/self-managing individual who requires little guidance
  • Collaborative team player

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, ensuring its availability, performance, and security
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows to enhance functionality
  • Develop and manage ServiceNow integrations with other systems and applications
  • Provide user support, including troubleshooting issues and answering questions related to ServiceNow functionalities
  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver ServiceNow solutions
  • Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement best practices for ServiceNow administration, including upgrade management and change control processes
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and team members on ServiceNow features and best practices
  • Stay current with ServiceNow updates and new features and recommend enhancements to leverage these effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and service management best practices
  • Any Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification, preferably in ITSM, CSM, ITOM, HRSD, IRM
  • Moderate experience with ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript)
  • Clear understanding of common ServiceNow development methodologies
  • Experience working in an org with at least 100 users in either an admin or developer capacity
