Remote ServiceNow Developer

Summary

Join our team as a ServiceNow Developer to assist our client in the consulting services sector with future projects. This is a long-term contract or full-time permanent hire opportunity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on web development languages, specifically JavaScript and/or XML
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience
• Strong understanding and experience with OOP development on SAAS applications
• Proficiency in working with relational databases
• Prior experience developing, designing, configuring, and rolling out new application modules, workflows, and catalog requests on the ServiceNow platform
• Experience running at least 4 development projects, demonstrating strong project management and delivery skills
• Hands-on experience deploying code into production environments and providing post-production support
• ServiceNow experience is required, including custom application development, configuring workflows, and integrating with other system s
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working with onshore and offshore development models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform
• Design, develop, and configure new application modules, workflows, and catalog requests on the ServiceNow platform
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and promotion into production
• Ensure the development and customization of ServiceNow applications align with industry best practices and adhere to coding standards
• Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications by identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate ServiceNow with other business systems and applications
• Provide post-production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement timely resolutions
• Deploy code into production environments, following proper change management procedures
• Actively participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore development teams to ensure successful project delivery
