Remote Software Engineer

Summary

Join our remote team at Sinch MessageMedia as we create new systems to broaden the integration capacity of messaging platforms. As an engineer, you will own your build from implementation design to testing and release, working with AWS to build, deploy, and manage projects in production environments.

Requirements

• Problem-solver with keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
• Strong in Java but also willing to accept not to program in Java if that is the current need
• Learn new domains quickly and are willing to take on and complete assignments in new areas as needed
• Creative and think outside the box but also understand when there is a need to stay within the box when reality so demands
• Experience with Java (preferred) and/or NodeJS
• Experience with NoSQL database systems particularly DynamoDB
• Experience with AWS
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

Responsibilities

• Develop high performing solutions that scale in production environments
• Design solution options and present these to your team
• Work in a scrum team and contribute to breaking down cards in grooming, understand your velocity in planning and provide feedback in retrospectives
• Understand our customers’ usage and requirements of our software
• Work with AWS to build, deploy and manage projects currently in production
• Assist in incident support and help the team resolve issues in production environments
