Remote Software Engineer - PHP/WordPress

Join FareHarbor's team as a full-time Engineer and contribute to building powerful tools that enable clients to operate and grow. As a key member of the FareHarbor.me team, you will work on our managed website platform, powering thousands of client websites.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience working with large-scale production codebases and mission-critical systems
• Strong PHP knowledge
• Strong JavaScript knowledge
• Strong WordPress knowledge
• Strong semantic HTML and CSS knowledge of modern and legacy techniques for building reusable components and layouts
• Good knowledge of web content accessibility guidelines
• A penchant eye for good web design
• Very strong understanding of web fundamentals
• Experience with TWIG is a big plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Write clean PHP, JavaScript, HTML(Twig) and (S)CSS
• Create and build user-facing features to be integrated on thousands of client websites
• Work with project managers to create and build custom features for Enterprise client websites on occasion
• Review pull requests, and write technical documentation for our engineers
• Help and share knowledge with other engineers
• Help develop a robust design framework that enables easy superficial theming
