Join the Snowflake team to build the future of data. As a Solutions Architect in the Professional Services team, you will deliver technical solutions to customers and help them maximize their use of Snowflake.

Requirements

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role
  • Ability to accurately identify customer needs and propose and drive project execution plans
  • Excellent presentation and demo skills targeting technical and executive-level customers
  • Understanding of the entire data analysis stack and workflow from ETL to BI and analytics tools
  • Design and implementation skills for databases, data warehouses, and data processing technologies
  • Rich experience with SQL and SQL analysis
  • Deep knowledge and experience with large-scale database technologies (Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum)
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash
  • Ability to work on-site with customers and be flexible for travel when needed

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical solutions to customers
  • Connect specific business problems with Snowflake's solutions and communicate the relevance and vision to various stakeholders
  • Share knowledge and best practices to enable customers to understand and extend Snowflake's features
  • Communicate with customers directly and demonstrate best practices for implementing Snowflake technology
  • Collaborate with SI vendors to successfully position and deploy Snowflake in customer environments at a deep technical level
  • Provide guidance on solving customers' unique technical problems
  • Support other team members in developing their expertise
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve Snowflake's products and marketing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge of large-scale data processing tools (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, HBase)
  • Understanding and experience with general BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Microstrategy, Business Objects, Tableau)
  • Experience with custom and packaged tool implementations for ETL pipelines
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure service platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
