Remote Staff Solutions Architect

Join our amazing team at Temporal as the Staff Solutions Architect and play a crucial role in positioning us against alternative technologies, helping customer engineering teams expand production applications using Temporal, and owning the technical relationship with key decision-makers.

Requirements

• Reside within Seattle, the San Francisco Bay Area, or Los Angeles
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing
• Deep understanding of distributed system technologies, design principles, and best practices
• Proficiency in building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal's supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C# or PHP
• Firm grasp of operational considerations in production environments, such as security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations
• Ability to provide insightful advice on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine if their applications fit Temporal's platform well
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal's platform and cloud service
• Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns
• Foster an environment within customer engineering organizations to increase the adoption and expansion of Temporal in production environments
• Partner closely with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers within customer organizations, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal's capabilities
