Summary

Join Idera, Inc., a global B2B software company, as a Tax Analyst assisting the Tax Director in domestic and international tax compliance, tax provision, and tax consulting. You will prepare income tax accounting related to U.S. financial statement income tax provision, gather information for U.S. income tax returns, calculate and pay estimated taxes, and coordinate with international controllers and external providers. Additional responsibilities include assisting with tax audit management, reviewing intercompany transfer pricing, assisting with acquisition integration, determining jurisdictional nexus, maintaining knowledge of tax laws, researching tax issues, and maintaining professional knowledge. This role requires a CPA certification, a bachelor's degree (MST preferred), and at least 3 years of relevant experience in the tax department of an international, multi-state corporation. Strong technical tax skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with tax compliance and GL systems are essential.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent MST preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, working in the Tax Department of an international, multi-state corporation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Working knowledge of ProSystem fx Tax / CCH Axcess or other similar tax compliance system
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct or other similar GL system
  • Strong technical tax background; strong tax research and planning skills; strong compliance skills
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax impacts to financial statements
  • Well organized; plans, organizes and monitors performance according to priorities
  • Hardworking; willing to get into the details; strong analytical thinking
  • Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; proactive; anticipates situations; identifies and addresses issues; accountable
  • Ability to transfer the application of tax theory to business situations and transactions

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Idera’s income tax accounting related to Idera’s U.S. financial statement income tax provision under ASC 740 including international subsidiary aspects (FTCs, GILTI, FDII, etc.)
  • Gather information and preparation of U.S. income tax return schedules in support of Idera’s consolidated corporate Form 1120, including all state returns and schedules associated with Idera’s international subsidiaries (5471’s, 8858’s, FTC, Section 163(j) interest limitation, GILTI, FDII)
  • Calculation and payment of income tax estimated tax payments and extension payments
  • Coordination with international corporate controllers and external tax providers to ensure timely preparation of foreign country income tax returns, payments, and other international tax filings
  • Assist with US income tax and indirect tax audit management and global tax audit monitoring
  • Review of monthly intercompany transfer pricing calculations for international subsidiaries
  • Assist with acquisition integration into the Company’s tax compliance processes
  • Determine jurisdictional nexus and that the Company is properly registered to do business in each jurisdiction globally
  • Maintain knowledge of changing tax laws and regulations, identify and implement necessary changes
  • Research and analyze tax issues, document and report conclusions
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge

Public accounting experience preferred
