Remote Technical Instructor

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified part-time technical instructor to join our team and deliver safety training programs focused on cranes and derricks. The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom instruction of NYC DOB cranes and derricks courses such as the 32-Hour Lift Director, 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor, and 8-Hour Master Rigger Refresher.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver live and virtual technical training presentations and webinars.
• Create student and instructor resources, including course agendas, student manuals, presentations, and learning activities.
• Build client relationships through effective representation of our organization’s services and technical capabilities.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, as needed, to accommodate class confirmations and potential evening or weekend hours.

Qualifications

Possess OSHA 500 Authorized Trainer Certification.

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the crane industry, preferably in a supervisory role related to safety.

Provide documented experience in lift directing, rigging, or crane operation relevant to the NYC DOB crane and rigging courses listed above. Examples include:

• NCCCO Lift Director
• NCCCO Rigger Level II
• NYC DOB Licensed Crane Operator
• NYC DOB Licensed Master Rigger
• NYC DOB Lift Director

Demonstrate knowledge of applicable OSHA and New York City Building Code standards.

Exhibit strong analytical and technical skills, as well as the ability to coordinate with remote team members to ensure project compliance and adherence to deadlines.

Possess excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, including strong document production and technical writing abilities.
