Remote UI/UX Designer

Location: Remote or On-site - Office in SoMa district, San Francisco, CA

About the Role:

We’re looking for a creative and skilled UI/UX Designer to help shape the user experience of our AI-powered pilot training app, built in React.

As part of our team, you will design interfaces that streamline the learning process for flight students and create intuitive, engaging experiences in mobile and web environments.

Your designs will directly influence how pilots interact with our AI CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) system, making a real impact on aviation training.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to design seamless, responsive UI/UX for our React-based app.

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that align with our vision of AI-driven flight training.

• Conduct user research and incorporate feedback to refine and improve user interfaces.

• Design intuitive, easy-to-use interfaces that simplify complex training procedures and data visualization for pilots.

• Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth implementation of design features in React.

• Ensure consistency in design elements and optimize the overall look and feel of the app for both mobile and web platforms.

• Stay up-to-date with UI/UX design trends and best practices, especially in mobile and web applications.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing mobile and web designs.

• Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

• Experience designing for React-based applications is a strong plus.

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and responsive design.

• Ability to take complex ideas and translate them into simple, user-friendly designs.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Familiarity with aviation or a passion for aviation tech is a bonus but not required.
