Requirements

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in federal civil service, with deep relationships with leadership in federal agencies
• Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing teams and driving collaborative efforts
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex or sensitive policy issues into accessible messaging for a variety of audiences
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for outreach and engagement
• Previous roles in political strategy or campaign management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for progressive causes and commitment to social justice

Responsibilities

• Influence Civil Service Leaders: Persuade officials to ensure democratic norms are protected
• Strategy and Program Development: Build a program and a team to quickly and discreetly connect with and organize civil servants to advance priority strategies
• Organizing and Education: Develop organizing strategies and tactics to educate and engage civil servants in campaigns to ensure that democratic norms are protected
• Manage Teams: Build and manage teams of internal staff and external stakeholder volunteers and partners
• Power Mapping: Utilize power mapping techniques to identify and engage key internal and external stakeholders within each agency
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to align efforts and maximize impact
• Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress, measure success, and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding campaign developments and outcomes
• Resource Management: Oversee budget and resource allocation for initiatives
