Requirements

• Experience in a relevant reporting role for a reputable organization
• Expert knowledge on all aspects of the British royal family and will be comfortable writing stories on them with speed, accuracy and confidence
• Organization and planning skills
• Writing and copy-editing skills
• SEO and online journalism skills
• Familiarity with using social media, Google Trends and other news discovery tools to find stories
• Capable of working to tight deadlines
• Must be able to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Research, source, pitch, and write several stories each day covering the British royal family and related topics
• React to breaking news
• Obtain original interviews and exclusives
• Research and write original features
• Maintain royal calendar and plan stories around diary events
• Ensure Newsweek delivers high-quality reporting that is accurate, fair, and conforms to accepted standards of journalism
• Perform any other reasonable duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business
