Requirements

• Exceptional news and editorial judgment and instincts
• Ability to write clear, concise, accurate copy
• Experience aggregating news stories and working in a breaking news environment
• Outstanding work ethic and comfort in a very fast-paced environment
• A reader of a wide variety of news and the ability to advance the daily news cycle forward with story pitches
• Eager to seek feedback and quick to incorporate feedback to grow and strengthen your skills
• Strong collaboration skills with journalists across all levels

Responsibilities

• Report and aggregate breaking news stories worthy of our readers' time
• Work closely with editors to determine appropriate breaking news stories to feature on Axios.com
• Collaborate with beat reporters across the Axios newsroom on stories that intersect with our various coverage areas and on items for newsletters
