Requirements

  • 2-4 Years of experience on an account and on the agency side
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree
  • Understanding of earned media relations and relationships with key contacts across a range of industries and specialties

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in a range of media verticals including, but not limited to, food, beverage, tech, fitness, CPG, home, beauty, and lifestyle
  • Drive media coverage, pitching reporters and developing relationships with key media contacts, collaborating with broader media and account teams on progress
  • Day-to-day client contact, taking the lead in ongoing communications regarding earned media with client
  • Lead internal meetings and manage media deliverables, collaborating with broader media and account teams on progress
  • Oversee team(s) across the planning and execution of media initiatives and review work products of more junior team members
  • Drive media coverage, pitching reporters and developing deep relationships with key media contacts
  • Curate media strategies for activations and tentpole projects as well as spearheading news engine programming year round
  • Understand client programming and participation in brainstorming and strategy recommendations to help develop proactive, media-first ideas
  • Draft press materials, pitches, media lists, audits, etc
  • Monitor and track media coverage
  • Lead portions of new business opportunities as needed
  • Keep agency and clients abreast of trends and opportunities
  • Proactively bring media opportunities to the agency and generate both volume of placements and strong client/brand messaging in stories
  • Participate in M Booth Media Team workstreams
