Join PragerU, a leading conservative nonprofit, as a Research Analyst and contribute to our mission of educating millions through digital media. Based in Los Angeles, CA, Hollywood, FL, or remotely in select states, you will support the Director of Donor Engagement and Retention. Responsibilities include prospect research, data entry, data analysis, and managing donor information within our database. You will play a key role in identifying and cultivating new donor prospects, contributing to increased philanthropic giving. Requirements

  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Google sheets
  • Strong attention to detailโ€“methodical and tenacious in data acquisition
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and a can-do, self-starter attitude
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced work environment โ€” and ability to get up to speed quickly, solve problems independently, and juggle multiple assignments
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Motivation to develop relationships and work collaboratively across the department and the organization
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly
  • Ability to sustain a consistently high level of focus and productivity while working through extensive donor research lists

Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualification research on prospective donors to identify new prospects for gift officer portfolios
  • Perform in-depth research including biographical, financial, philanthropic and capacity utilizing a variety of research tools, techniques and resources
  • Enter and/or update all pertinent donor information into database record and assign confirmed prospective donors to gift officers
  • Triage and respond to research requests from fundraising staff
  • Provide support to the Director of Donor Engagement and Retention, continuously improving prospect identification and timely information distribution leading to increased opportunities for targeted asks and increased philanthropic giving
  • Assist with prospect management system upgrades by providing feedback and insight on the system and processes
  • May require travel to California and Florida 1-2 times per year
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relative work experience in research and data entry
  • Experience with fundraising databases
