Requirements

  • Have a passion for crypto and a relentless curiosity to grow a knowledge base of how blockchains work, and have experience using onchain applications
  • Have used SQL to work with onchain data in Dune, Flipside, or similar data analytics tools
  • Understand how smart contracts work on EVM chains, and be aware that other frameworks like SVM, MoveVM, and CosmWasm exist
  • Be proficient in navigating block explorers across all of these environments
  • Be eager to work with new data in frameworks that are new to you to grow your understanding of the industry

Responsibilities

  • Build Dashboards: Write queries against data sources to create and maintain protocol dashboards covering L1s, L2s, and popular applications. Curate metrics showcased based on knowledge of the protocol and aggregate new and existing data to form comprehensive sector-specific analytics
  • Collaborate with Protocol Teams: Work alongside top protocols to provide data collection and analysis based on engagement needs
  • Data Sourcing: Actively seek out the best data sources and be open to constant experimentation
  • Pioneer Industry Leading Frameworks: Assist in developing new frameworks that set the bar for crypto investors and builders, focusing on areas like blockchain value accrual and financial models
  • Continuously Learn and Share Knowledge: Proactively keep up-to-date with evolving themes and industry trends, and share learning with the broader Research and Advisory teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience in a data-heavy role or as a research analyst in crypto, TradFi, or consulting that required use of SQL, dbt, or Python
  • Have familiarity working in a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery
  • Have experience being active within a DAO or regularly looking into various governance forums
  • Be a vocal advocate in the industry and enjoy communicating with our audience and customers via Twitter, podcasts, and written mediums about your view on the state of the crypto industry and where it is moving
  • Have incredibly strong communication skills that include a natural ability to write long-form research about complex narratives and ideas in a way that is clear, cohesive, accurate, and can be easily understood by a broad audience
