Research Specialist

Join Trusted Media Brands as a Research Specialist and contribute to the world's leading community-driven entertainment company. You will track, analyze, and identify trends in user-generated content (UGC) across various social media platforms. Collaborate with content and production teams to curate and appraise content. Conduct comprehensive online research to gather background information on original video content. Present research findings in reports and work with the team to understand business content needs. This remote/global role requires schedule flexibility and strong research, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.

Requirements

• Schedule Flexibility (different shifts - weekends, holidays, overnights)
• Excellent time management skills and exceptionally detail oriented
• Ability to conduct in-depth online research using advanced open-source search techniques, and tools like Google Reverse Image Search
• Ability to assess the legitimacy, authenticity, and value of video content and determine potential usage or copyright risks
• Strong familiarity with the landscape of UGC, Viral Videos and social media, including platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram
• Basic understanding of copyright law, intellectual property rights, licensing, and fair use policies
• Exceptionally detail oriented and meticulous in tracking ownership, video metadata, and licensing information

Responsibilities

• Search and identify original video content across social media platforms, websites, and video-sharing platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and others
• Investigate viable leads for clearance, by using metadata, research tools, and open-source intelligence techniques like reverse image/video search to track the source and authenticity of videos
• Evaluate user-generated videos for business needs & clearance opportunities
• Organize and present research findings in comprehensive reports that follow internal data integrity guidelines
• Work with Manager and Function Lead to understand business content needs and apply to day-to-day tasks
