Summary

Join Slice as their Revenue Accounting Manager and oversee the end-to-end revenue accounting process across their platform and physical supplies businesses. This dynamic role blends accounting execution with system transformation, including month-end responsibilities and shaping new revenue accounting processes. You will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting, manage a team of accountants, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the accounts receivable cycle. Collaborate cross-functionally, develop internal controls and accounting policies, and assist with NetSuite ERP implementation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and manage and develop your direct reports. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or equivalent certification, and 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial role and a focus on revenue accounting
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Hands-on experience with revenue and AR processes, including reconciliations, invoicing/billing, and month-end close
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (index, pivot tables, lookups, large datasets)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience utilizing automation and data tools (e.g., Alteryx Designer, SQL, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly revenue close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue-related reporting packages
  • Manage the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, cash application, and collections, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Reconcile and analyze recognized revenue; partnering with FP&A to provide insight on revenue trends, customer behavior, and variance drivers
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements, including GAAP revenue schedules, management reporting, and external audit requests
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proper setup and accounting for new revenue streams as they occur
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of internal controls and accounting policies
  • Assist with NetSuite ERP implementation, helping shape future-state revenue and AR processes, including system design, testing, documentation, and cutover activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline operations and scale as the business continues to grow
  • Manage and develop your direct reports, fostering growth, accountability, and high-quality execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred
  • Exposure to NetSuite (implementation or user experience) and experience with physical consumer products, supply chain, and/or inventory accounting preferred
