Requirements

• Previous experience in fraud prevention, credit risk, or working with payments, banking, or fintech companies
• Quick learner with a strong interest in picking up complex systems and concepts
• Familiarity with Card Scheme rules and how they apply
• Basic understanding of how chargebacks work
• Comfortable working with teams across risk, sales, and customer support to get things done and drive change
• Confidence using Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis

Responsibilities

• Spot and report unusual transactions or settlement issues, following company and industry rules
• Review merchant profiles to flag and manage high-risk accounts
• Handle customer investigations through emails and calls, keeping things moving quickly
• Keep an eye on merchant activity to catch and fix compliance issues
• Assess merchant risk and suggest smart solutions that balance loss, customer impact, and cost
• Use various tools to investigate suspicious activity and make clear, timely decisions—even when tough conversations are needed
• Monitor daily transactions and card payments, checking for fraud and credit risks to protect both Lightspeed and our merchants
