You will spearhead the evaluation of third-party vendors, design analytics-driven loss prevention systems, and collaborate with colleagues to translate business objectives into actionable solutions. The position requires proven analytical experience in credit risk or fraud detection, expert-level SQL skills, and experience with SaaS product development. Requirements
- Proven analytical experience in the area of credit risk, fraud detection, or equivalent
- Expert-level SQL programming skills
- Experience creating and delivering custom analytics for SaaS product development
- Experience with complex relational data structures
- Experience with business cases and making recommendations with data
- Experience with case management systems
- Analytical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Analytical creativity and flexibility
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, the ability to see a bigger picture and the ability to weigh pros and cons of different options
- Ability to work under data & time constraints

Responsibilities
- Think critically about risk objectives and deliver insights to stakeholders, optimizing risk prevention strategies while balancing risk reduction with customer experience
- Spearhead the evaluation of third-party vendors and partner data as they pertain to improving our data models, user decisioning, and case management systems
- Design analytics-driven Loss (chargebacks and/or fraud) Prevention Systems, Rules, Limits, and other data-driven solutions to help proactively detect and effectively prevent possible credit and fraud losses
- Optimize existing systems with ongoing analysis of behavioural data to operationalize known patterns of fraud/other financial risk and to uncover new patterns of fraud/other financial risk
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to understand their business objectives, translate business objectives into proposed solutions (e.g., analysis, KPIs, BI, Data Science), and socialize the proposals to ensure stakeholdersβ alignment & buy-in
- Perform (hands-on) analysis to drive insights, guide risk appetite, and inform business recommendations
- Provide BI team with requirements for risk analytics data, reports and dashboards
- Collaborate with the Data Science team on ML / AI developments supporting risk models
