Summary

Join GoDaddy's Finance team as a Manager, Risk Management! This remote position plays a key role in supporting SOX compliance, assessing risks, improving processes, and enhancing control automation using technology like AI. You will evaluate controls, identify process gaps, and contribute to SOX program improvement. The role reports to the Director of Risk Management and collaborates closely with the Senior Manager. Responsibilities include assisting with SOX compliance activities, supporting readiness assessments, working with IT and business partners, coordinating with external auditors, maintaining SOX documentation, and improving program efficiency. This is a remote position, with occasional office visits.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in SOX compliance, audit, or risk management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, computer information systems or related field
  • Recent public accounting background from a Big 4 Firm
  • Strong understanding of SOX 404 and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT)
  • Experience working with IT and business partners to assess and improve control environments

Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving the SOX program by supporting SOX compliance activities and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry standard processes
  • Support SOX readiness assessments by understanding future state end-to-end processes, risks and controls, identifying control gaps and collaborating with partners on remediation efforts
  • Work alongside IT and business partners to understand processes, assess risks, and provide recommendations to strengthen controls
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate SOX compliance audits, ensuring timely responses to requests and effective communication
  • Help maintain and improve SOX-related documentation, risk assessments, and reporting, leveraging automation tools where possible
  • Mature the SOX program and contribute to process efficiencies by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and controls

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications
