This key role focuses on securing and managing surety products throughout project lifecycles, streamlining processes, and maximizing capital efficiency. You will coordinate with internal and external teams, manage surety product requirements, plan for annual needs, and audit cash postings. The position requires strong stakeholder management, project management, and expertise in surety and bonds. A remote work option with up to 10% travel is available. Requirements
- 5 or more yearsโ professional experience in insurance and risk management, ideally within the renewable energy industry
- Expertise in Surety & Bonds management
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and collaborate across teams
- Proven experience in relationship management, maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Solid project management experience, with a focus on delivering results within deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of claims and litigation management processes
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with external surety providers and the internal team to secure surety products on time
- Produce draft surety bonds and letter of credits accurately and timely
- Manage requirements for current surety products, including renewals, exonerations, reductions and collateral
- Plan for annual surety needs and create strategic plans for Power Purchase Agreements, InterConnection Agreements, and other needs
- Maximize capital efficiency with Treasury, Risk & Insurance, and other teams
- Audit cash postings for Power Purchase Agreements and InterConnection Agreements to find surety solutions and increase cash availability
- Coordinate with Project Finance and Transactions during Financial Close to replace early-stage surety products
- Plan and execute the annual Underwriting Summit
- Build relationships with surety providers to expand options
- Advocate for optimal surety options
