Summary

The Robotics Project Coordinator role involves installing and operating drone and robotic systems in solar farms, leading installation teams, staying updated on industry trends, and managing budgets. Requires a current FAA Part 107 certificate, excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, love for learning, strong time management skills, ability to travel up to 75% of the time, a bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of work experience in solar electrical, drone, robotics, or other industrial settings, and hands-on experience using tools to install and repair mechanical and electrical systems. Preferred qualifications include experience with thermography, project management systems, training, team leadership, subcontractor supervision, desktop GIS applications, SQL, and prior startup experience.

  • Must be primarily located in the contiguous US
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead in-field installation of robotic systems (both planning and execution)
  • Travel to work sites to install, operate, and maintain robotic systems or other special projects
  • Abide by standard operating procedures for efficient and safe installation and maintenance of robotics systems
  • In-field testing of new equipment and data capture methods when needed
  • Build and oversee team responsible for ongoing installation and maintenance of robotic systems
  • Create and staff to in-field deployment schedule
  • Provide feedback to and manage relationships with in-field crews
  • Act as primary point of contact for in-field crews
  • Track and report on all budget items related to this work
  • Keep up to date on industry trends surrounding robotics
  • Draft and publish documentation of new data capture processes and related systems
  • Track project success and completion through real-time updates of spreadsheets and databases
  • Share regular progress reports within team
  • Escalate matters appropriately utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), proper channels, and critical thinking
  • Participate in specialty projects or R&D missions as assigned and communicated by team and company leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with thermography
  • Experience using project management systems (Airtable, Asana, Monday.com , Smartsheets, etc.)
  • Experience as trainer, team lead, and/or subcontractor supervisor
  • Experience with desktop GIS applications such as QGIS or ArcGIS
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data querying language
  • Prior startup experience
