As a Sales Representative, reporting to the Regional Manager, Western Operations, you will be responsible for identifying prospects' needs, influencing decisions, and selling insurance products. Your core duties involve tailoring interactions using various technologies, identifying customer needs to build on existing products, selling products by establishing relationships with prospects, creating a trusting environment, and accurately processing account changes. This role requires an AIC license, a minimum of three years' sales experience in personal lines insurance, exceptional communication skills, superior time management, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications. Requirements
- An AIC license is required
- A minimum of three yearsβ sales experience, preferably in personal lines, automobile and property insurance
- Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Superior time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
Responsibilities
- Identify prospectsβ needs, influencing decisions and selling insurance products
- Tailor interactions by utilizing emerging technology solutions including phone, chat, email, SMS and video conferencing
- Identify customer needs to build on existing products which includes developing contact plans, introducing new products and services and quoting and marketing personal insurance business
- Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, answering incoming communications, following-up on expiry date cards, re-quoting prospects from previous years and cancelled files, and contacting leads generated
- Create a trusting environment that fosters new sales opportunities and retention of existing business
- Accurately process account changes, maintaining complete customer documentation, preparing correspondence, and documenting files for follow up
Preferred Qualifications
- Other national licensing is considered an asset
- Preference given to candidates with experience using Epic, Salesforce and Company portals
