Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelorβs or MBA program with a focus on business, marketing, or a related field
- Exposure in sales and business development
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English, with excellent communication skills in both languages
- Knowledge of Japanese business etiquette and cultural norms to effectively engage with local clients
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and leverage their networks for sales opportunities
- Strong interest in the logistics & shipping industry or related sectors
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market data
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing trials and expanding existing accounts
- Translate between Japanese and English to facilitate seamless communication between the sales and technical teams, ensuring a smooth handover of accounts post-sales
- Ensure high-quality lead generation in the Japanese market to support sales growth
- Collaborate effectively with our channel partners in Japan to coordinate sales efforts and leverage their networks, enhancing sales opportunities and market reach
- Contribute to a smooth and efficient lead generation process, resulting in a robust sales pipeline
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine sales assets and product offerings to suit the Japanese market
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
- Provide regular updates on sales & lead generation activities, pipeline status, and challenges
