Summary

You will play a crucial role in Qonto's AML/CFT system, working closely with the Lead Spain & AFC Screening to review and investigate matches generated by World-Check One and ComplyAdvantage. Responsibilities include reviewing adverse media, performing transaction screening, collaborating on process improvements, and maintaining detailed tracking of PEPs and Sanctions files. This role offers the chance to drive Qonto's expansion into new markets and work with a growing international team. The position is based in Paris or Barcelona. Requirements

  • Experience: You have at least 4 years of experience in AML/Compliance in the Financial sector, preferably with screening expertise
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of sanctions regulations, PEP screening, and adverse media analysis
  • Language: Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Skills: Strong analytical and investigation skills and excellent attention to detail. You also have a deep understanding of international regulatory frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Review and investigate matches generated by the filter tool World-Check One and ComplyAdvantage against Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions Lists, and Adverse Media
  • Review and investigate adverse media in a timely manner and process as appropriate
  • Perform transaction screening , monitoring, and processing alerts
  • Collaborate with various teams to improve processes and tools, and respond to queries
  • Maintain detailed tracking of PEPs and Sanctions files to ensure the completion of audit trails
  • Drive Qonto's expansion into new markets and work with multiple currencies , bringing new levels of complexity to our compliance operations
  • Be part of a growing international team that's shaping the future of financial compliance across European markets
  • Work across multiple compliance processes (PEPs, sanctions screening, adverse media) in a dynamic fintech environment
  • Participate in projects, including new procedure implementation, tool calibration improvements, and reporting mechanism development
