Screening Analyst

Summary

Join Blue Cube Services Ltd. as a remote Screening Analyst in the Philippines and contribute to a leading digital asset software platform. You will conduct thorough screenings of individuals and entities against PEP lists, sanctions lists, and other databases. Analyze screening alerts, investigate potential risks, and maintain accurate records. Stay updated on evolving sanctions regulations and contribute to process improvements. Collaborate with other departments and assist in regulatory reporting and audits. This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in PEP and sanctions screening within the financial services industry.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years in PEP and sanctions screening, preferably within the financial services industry
• Strong understanding of AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN)
• Experience working with screening software and databases
• Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
• Flexibility. You will be working in a rapidly growing team that is required to provide true 24/7 coverage
• Candidates must have access to an appropriate laptop with a camera or a webcam and a phone capable of running Google authenticator software
• Strong and reliable WiFi connection
• Candidates must be prepared to submit to further background / security checks if required

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screening of customers, counterparties, and transactions against PEP lists, sanctions lists, and internal databases
• Analyze screening alerts, identify potential matches, and escalate complex cases to senior compliance staff for review
• Investigate and assess potential risks associated with PEPs and sanctioned entities, documenting findings and recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of screening results, investigations, and escalations
• Stay up-to-date with evolving sanctions regulations, PEP definitions, and best practices in screening methodologies
• Contribute to the development and improvement of screening procedures and processes
• Collaborate with other departments, such as onboarding, KYC/AML, and legal, to ensure consistent application of compliance policies
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and audits related to PEP and sanctions screening
• Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of relevant regulations and screening tools
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of cryptocurrencies is advantageous but not required, as training will be provided
