SAP Project Manager

Summary

Join NTT DATA, a global leader in technology, as an SAP S/4Hana Project Manager in Brea, CA. Drive all project activities, from scope and implementation to post-launch closure, effectively managing resources, timelines, and profitability. Proactively manage risks and serve as the primary customer contact. Develop project timelines and manage related artifacts. Manage a team of Functional Consultants and oversee all SDLC phases. Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders. Liaison between the project team and the business. This role requires 7+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years as an SAP Project or Program Manager, with at least two end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in project management with 5+ years of specific experience as SAP Project or Program Manager
• Must have experience in at least two (2) end to end S/4 HANA implementations and knowledge of the Activate methodology
• Experience in review of BBP documents, developing test, cutover and post go-live plans (strategy, plan, requirements, KPIs, etc)
• Strong management and leadership experience with globally distributed teams. Participate to lead onsite-offshore interactions as required
• Must have strong analytical skills, be team-oriented with excellent coordination and time management skills
• Strong customer orientation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing timelines and expectations, and producing high-quality deliverables
• Good hands-on experience on Jira, MS Project & MS office suite (Excel & PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Drive all project activity from scope, implementation, through post-launch and closure
• Effectively manage resources, governance, timelines, and profitability
• Proactively identify, articulate, and manage risks through collaboration with internal and client project teams
• Contribute to evolution of project management methodology
• Serve as primary point of contact, managing the day-to-day customer experience
• Develop project timelines and manage all required artifacts related to risk mgmt., etc
• Manage team of Functional Consultants
• Manage SDLC phases from initiation and scoping to development and up through deployment and hypercare
• Prepare and present project status updates to Business and IT sponsors/stakeholders
• Liaison between project team and Business

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as SAP Functional consultant or SAP technical consultant before leadership role, is a plus
