Summary
Join our team as a Science Curriculum Designer and help shape our exceptional elementary, middle, and high school science content.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs in Physics required
- Master's or Ph.D preferred
- High school or collegiate science teaching or tutoring experience
- Ability to work across multiple scientific disciplines such as life science, earth science, physical science, and engineering
- Excellent writing ability
- Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Can-do attitude with an openness to others' ideas
- Highly self-motivated and efficient with superb attention to detail
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and write clear, engaging, interactive science questions to meet specified educational objectives for K-12
- Write helpful, age-appropriate explanations of scientific concepts
- Ensure questions and explanations are scientifically correct
- Collaborate with illustrators, other curriculum designers, and company leaders to determine appropriate content strategies
- Develop and manage project plans to create and deliver high-quality science content
- Research and review IXL's alignment to educational standards, common assessments, and popular textbooks
