Summary
Join Guardant Health's growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as an Inside Sales Representative. This role is crucial in supporting the field sales organization by driving product growth through virtual customer interactions, focusing on early colorectal cancer detection using the SHIELD blood test. You will be responsible for uncovering new business, achieving sales targets, building relationships with healthcare providers, engaging in challenger selling, utilizing internal resources for data-driven decisions, educating providers, providing high-touch customer service, and ensuring compliance. The position requires a 4-year college degree and at least one year of sales experience, with virtual selling experience highly preferred. Guardant Health offers a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote work days.
Requirements
- Experience : 4-year college degree and minimum 1-year sales experience ( internships, inside or field-based sales, or retail with sales goals ). This is an inside sales role so virtual selling experience is highly preferred
- Product Knowledge : Ability to quickly learn and apply technical product knowledge to drive sales
- Communication Skills : Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in an easily understandable manner virtually
- Customer Service Excellence : Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Valid Driverโs License : A clean driving record is required for daily field office and customer visits, if required
- Travel Flexibility : Flexibility to travel to open territories, when needed, and occasional national travel for sales meetings
Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Expansion : Uncover potential new business utilizing analytical insights and successfully transition incoming leads into active ordering accounts
- Achieve Sales Targets : Consistently meet or exceed sales goals through virtual effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies
- Target and Engage Healthcare Providers : Focus on building strong relationships virtually with healthcare providers, gaining their commitment to adopt the Shield test for CRC and other cancers
- Challenger Selling : Engage healthcare providers virtually to understand their needs and demonstrate how Guardant Healthโs offerings can improve patient outcomes and streamline their practice
- Resource Utilization : Utilize data from a range of internal resources (Salesforce, Veeva, competitive market data, etcโฆ) to understand the evolving market of CRC treatments and to make data-driven decisions to support the successful execution of your business plan
- Educate and Support Providers : Provide in-depth product knowledge and training virtually to primary care practices to gain all stakeholder support, beyond the provider, ensuring smooth integration of SHIELD into their workflow
- Provide High-Touch Customer Service : Maintain exceptional customer service standards by resolving issues proactively and supporting healthcare providers in every phase of the sales process
- Compliance & Administrative Excellence : Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulations, while managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales Expertise (Preferred): Demonstrated virtual ability to engage in selling conversations, overcoming objections and aligning client needs with product offerings
- CRM Proficiency (Preferred): Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms for tracking customer interactions and sales progress
- Preferred: High-touch customer service and relationship-building skills, with a focus on long-term partnership and success
