Scrum Master

Summary

Join Onit, a company redefining the future of legal operations through AI, as a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master. Lead and coach BusyLamp Agile teams in a fast-paced, innovative, and remote environment. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, act as a servant-leader and coach, remove impediments, and foster continuous improvement. Partner with Product Owners to ensure clarity, and ensure alignment across distributed, multilingual teams, particularly within German-speaking contexts. Promote Agile best practices and champion Agile adoption within the organization. This role requires fluency in German and English.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software/product teams
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) — essential for team and stakeholder interaction
• Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM I or II)
• Strong knowledge of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple time zones and with remote teams
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills
• Experience in scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
• Exposure to European technology and regulatory environments
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and modern development practices
• Background in software engineering or technical project management

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
• Act as a servant-leader and coach for one or more Agile teams
• Help the team remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure clarity in backlog priorities and sprint goals
• Ensure alignment across distributed, multilingual teams, especially within German-speaking contexts
• Promote Agile best practices and metrics tracking (e.g., velocity, burndown)
• Encourage open communication and transparency within the team and with stakeholders
• Champion Agile adoption within the broader organization
