Security Lead

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Security Engineering or similar
• Experience being a Team Lead across the organization
• Prior experience with Security for Cloud Infrastructure/Kubernetes
• Demonstrated effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, actively fostering a culture of security awareness, and supporting the development of security solutions that impact larger projects
• Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Possesses expert-level knowledge in their specialty field and the security technology stack
• Expert understanding of industry standards and how they apply to Afresh

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective security strategies and processes to protect the company from security risks
• Be a key input into quarterly planning and drive prioritization for security work
• Lead execution of security projects, breaking down work, and effectively delegating tasks
• Represent the company to customers and communicate effectively
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits, including leading the Type II SOC 2 audits annually
• Assess potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigate security incidents, and reinforce appropriate measures to mitigate them
• Conduct security architecture reviews and makes recommendations
• Evangelize and foster a culture of security awareness across the company

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
