Join Sidecar Health, a company dedicated to making healthcare affordable and accessible, as a Senior Account Manager. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of high-value clients, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. You will leverage data-driven insights to proactively manage account health, strengthen client relationships, and drive both retention and growth. You will focus on fully-insured and self-funded (ASO) plans, playing a key role in improving processes, shaping strategy, and elevating the overall client experience. This position involves regular travel across Ohio to support and engage with clients.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in account management within health insurance or employee benefits, including strong exposure to ASO/self-funded plans
- Proficiency with data analytics platforms (e.g., CRM tools, Tableau) to assess performance and inform client strategy
- Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a client-friendly way
- A track record of driving process improvements and implementing new workflows
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Consultative approach with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, strong ownership, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Valid Ohio State Health and Life insurance license (required)
- Willingness to travel throughout Ohio for client engagement
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of key accounts, building strong, long-term client relationships focused on retention and growth
- Monitor performance using data tools and analytics, surfacing trends and risks to drive proactive engagement
- Create and deliver compelling, insight-driven performance reports tailored to client priorities
- Lead renewals and negotiations, particularly for self-funded/ASO clients, aligning on value and business goals
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client experience and internal efficiency
- Travel across Ohio for in-person client meetings, education sessions, and strategic check-ins
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues, support implementations, and deliver a seamless client experience
- Mentor junior team members on best practices and data-informed account management
- Champion innovation and operational excellence within a high-growth, evolving team
