Summary
Join Biogen as a Sr. Analyst, Site Contracts and be responsible for preparing clinical trial agreements, master clinical trial agreements, and related ancillary services agreements. You will negotiate language, budgets, and payment terms with clinical sites and ancillary facilities, supporting the achievement of study site activation goals. This remote role, based anywhere in the continental US, requires you to manage contract status, serve as an escalation point for language issues, analyze contract trends, and mentor other analysts. You will work closely with study and legal teams to ensure timelines are met and Biogen's interests are protected. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in appropriate scientific or business disciplines
- 4+ years’ experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry or academic medical center within the site contract and budget negotiation space across Phase I-IV clinical trials is required
- Experience in clinical research processes and a thorough understanding of GCP, relevant ICH standards, and FDA/EMA guidelines required
- Understanding of industry fair market value and standard legal terms required
- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to independently manage time and priorities with minimal oversight while completing a high volume of work is required
- Ability to work effectively in cross functional teams is required
Responsibilities
- Prepare appropriate contract templates, building on previous negotiations with institutions to speed and streamline negotiations
- Work closely with study and legal teams to ensure start up timelines are met, contract terms meet study needs and protect Biogen’s interests, and good site relationships are maintained
- Manage status tracking and reporting from draft preparation to full execution, and ensure Biogen is always inspection and audit ready
- Serve as an escalation point for language escalations from external entities, as necessary
- Analyze contract trends, identify and support process improvements, and assist with developing and refining institutional knowledge repositories and negotiation parameters; provide mentoring and support to site contracts analysts
Preferred Qualifications
JD/Paralegal Certification is preferred
