Summary

Join Stellar Health's Enterprise Analytics team as a Senior Analytics Engineer to build scalable data models using Snowflake and dbt. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and implement data models, develop and enhance the dbt codebase, and advocate for analytics best practices. This role requires extensive experience in analytics engineering, SQL, dimensional modeling, and data process management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Requirements

  • Deep Analytics Experience: 8+ years total experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or equivalent. DBT Experience is a must
  • Expert level SQL: 6+ years writing SQL with advanced level knowledge, including various join types, CTEs, partitioning, pivoting, and aggregates
  • Expert Dimensional Modeling: 4+ years experience designing and implementing commercial Analytics Data Models, preferably using Kimball Dimensional Modeling
  • Expert Data Process Management: 4+ years experience creating automated data processing pipelines using tools like Airflow
  • Full-stack experience : We are looking for a candidate that has an interest in fully owning data development - from interacting with the Business Partners to articulate needs, to developing some Tableau Dashboards to lay out the output of their work
  • Leadership : Clear technical lead, able to communicate clearly and efficiently, with crisp delivery of ideas and concepts
  • Collaboration : Ability to establish good rapport immediately
  • Curiosity : Asks excellent questions about the team and Stellar

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members across Stellar Health to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, design data models, implement data models, and automated data refreshes
  • Design and deliver new analytics data models and schema with dbt, primarily designed using dimensional modeling
  • Define, develop, and enhance the dbt codebase used to bring the Analytics Warehouse to life
  • Develop code that establishes the benchmark for best practices in a high-scale data environment, including source code management, unit testing, CI/CD, and peer code reviews
  • Work with team members to review and approve code and other software artifacts
  • Keep documentation up-to-date in Notion, Docs, and other knowledge bases
  • Advocate for Analytics best practices
  • Keep the team and others up-to-date on plans and progress with Jira and related status meters

  • The salary range for a Senior Analytics Engineer is $150,000-$190,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance based bonus
