Summary

Join Taskrabbit's Marketplace team as a Senior Analytics Engineer and own Dolly's enterprise data models and data access layer. You will design and develop data ontologies, build performant and scalable code for data transformation, and implement data quality assurance processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data aligns with business needs. This fully remote role (until September 2025, then 2 days/week in the San Francisco office) requires expertise in Snowflake SQL, dbt Cloud, dimensional modeling, and data analysis programming. Taskrabbit offers competitive compensation, including a base pay range of $115,000-$160,000, plus bonus and benefits. Requirements

  • Expertise in Snowflake SQL, and dbt Cloud CLI (5 years)
  • Expertise in dimensional modeling and SCD2 use cases (3 years)
  • Expertise in at least one programming language used for data analysis (eg Python, R) (3 years)
  • Experience designing and implementing data quality assurance and monitoring processes (2 years)
  • Experience interacting with executive and senior management stakeholders around the topics of data access, quality, appropriate use, metric definitions and standardization (2 years)
  • Familiarity with git (2 years)
  • Commitment to data process development with a relentless focus on transparency, quality, efficiency and resilience

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data ontologies for Dollyโ€™s core business objects, represented as our enterprise data model
  • Develop performant, scalable code for Dollyโ€™s production data transformation layer
  • Design and develop efficient orchestrations between interdependent transformation
  • Implement transformation pipelines for raw data considering quality, detection/enforcement, and periodicity
  • Own data definitions for Dollyโ€™s key business metrics
  • Work with executives, department heads and other stakeholders across the business to ensure data definitions align with business needs
