Summary

Join Abnormal Security as a Senior Analytics Engineer on the Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team. You will define, develop, and deploy the foundations of our analytics stack, managing our end-to-end data infrastructure. Collaborate with data engineering clients to design and maintain data models and visualizations for seamless reporting and analysis. Empower end-users to explore data independently and implement best practices for data literacy. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of experience, and expertise in SQL and a scripting language. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical field
  • 6+ years of experience as an Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in SQL and advanced knowledge of at least one scripting or statistical programming language (Python, R)
  • Strong understanding of analytical data-warehousing concepts
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical users
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize, unblock, flag risks, and push progress forward
  • Experience working in relational data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as DBT, DLT or SQLMesh
  • Experience with Extract and Load tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte or custom Python scripting

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients of Data Engineering to design and maintain reliable data models and visualizations that allow for seamless reporting and analysis
  • Optimize data warehousing processes by enhancing existing data models, building net new models and implementing best practices for data quality testing
  • Empower end users throughout the company to independently explore and answer data-related questions using well-organized and intuitive datasets
  • Implement cataloging and documentation best practices in order to raise data literacy and adoption of our data products across the company

Preferred Qualifications

Finance or Sales and Marketing Analytics related experience
