Senior Android Engineer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Android Developer and contribute to the development of our flagship application. You will design and build advanced applications in Kotlin, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure application performance and reliability. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science with 5+ years of experience and strong Android/Kotlin skills. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minimum 5+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, maps API, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications in Kotlin for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Accessibility features
• Android portfolio is a plus
• Github and Jira knowledge
• UI & UX experience
• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Passion for sports
