Senior App Engineer

Summary

Join our team as an App Engineer and help build the fastest and most intuitive shopping app using a brand-new tech stack! Work onsite in Hamburg or remotely within Germany. The Shop Applications Team constantly improves the App, Mobile Website, and Desktop Website, each with over 8M active users monthly. You will build and ship new features using Dart and Flutter, collaborate with other developers, product managers, and designers, and proactively address technical debt. You'll have a direct impact on team processes through agile retrospectives. This role requires extensive frontend development experience and a willingness to learn Flutter.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in frontend development, ideally across multiple frameworks
• Willingness to learn Flutter
• Strong expertise in UI development and building complex frontend logic
• Deep understanding of building complex frontend logic
• You write well-structured, efficient and maintainable code and actively keep the quality of the code base in check
• You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are used to working in an English speaking environment

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new high impact features and improvements to the AY App using Dart and Flutter, contributing to one of the most widely-used applications built with Flutter
• Work closely together with other experienced developers, product managers, QA, and designers to ship new components and features
• Proactively identify and seek to resolve technical debt and building internal tools to enhance team productivity
• Have a direct impact on team processes by regular agile retrospectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Design awareness and ability to collaborate closely with designers
• Familiarity with gRPC and Go in a shop backend environment
• Expertise in UI and Animation development
