Summary

Join our team and help shape the future of grocery delivery at Instacart. We're seeking a Sr. Associate, Corporate Strategy, to drive strategic decisions and growth opportunities. As part of our Corporate Strategy team, you'll collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to propel critical initiatives forward.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or a related field with a proven track record in strategic analysis and/or corporate planning
• Strong analytical skills and adept at market analysis, competitive intelligence, and strategic forecasting
• Proficient in using data to make informed decisions and experienced in presenting complex strategies to senior stakeholders. 
• Proficient in SQL; familiarity with BI tools
• Strategic-thinker who is capable of seeing the bigger picture and translating complex ideas into actionable strategies

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analysis into the grocery industry and adjacent verticals, identifying B2C and B2B growth opportunities
• Develop market landscape assessments that inform our strategic decisions and help us understand our competitive positioning
• Engage in opportunity analysis to pinpoint new areas for innovation and expansion, ensuring alignment with our long-term corporate strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Commercial, and Finance to ensure strategies are coherent across the board and grounded in operational reality
• Take part in the orchestration of strategic planning sessions, aiding in the preparation and follow-through of these critical discussions
• Assist in the formulation of actionable strategies that drive clarity and offer quantifiable benefits, directly impacting company performance and direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail or e-commerce, with a preferred focus on B2B or in-store technology
• Your proactive nature drives you to take initiative and operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organization
• You are known for your problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex challenges in innovative ways

Benefits

• Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits
• Base pay range: $101,000 - $112,000 USD (All other states)
• Base pay range: $112,000 - $124,000 USD (OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI)
• Base pay range: $117,000 - $130,000 USD (WA)
• Base pay range: $122,000 - $135,000 USD (CA, NY, CT, NJ)
