Senior Backend Engineer

Join Blue Coding, a leading next-gen software developer, and work remotely from anywhere in the Americas! We are looking for a Software Developer to work with a client reinventing mortgage trading and asset management portfolio management. You will design, develop, and maintain the client's platform using TypeScript and Node.js, build RESTful APIs, integrate with third-party APIs, and work with Docker and PostgreSQL. Collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams is key. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience with TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, Sequelize, React, Docker, and Playwright, along with excellent communication skills. This is a long-term, fully remote position with a flexible schedule (within US time zones) and a salary paid in USD.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, NodeJS
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Sequelize
• Experience with React
• Experience with Docker
• Testing experience with Playwright
• Familiarity or knowledge with AWS
• Strong communication, client services, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the client's platform, using TypeScript and Node.js
• Build and consume RESTful APIs for efficient and secure client-server communication
• Design clear, versioned API endpoints and maintain comprehensive internal documentation
• Integrate with third-party APIs and external systems as needed
• Work with containerised services in Docker and SQL in their Postgres databases
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions) and cloud services (AWS) for deployment and operations

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge or experience with either credit, mortgages, trading platforms, or environments is a plus
